McAuliffe announces five-year Bowdon Hockey Club sponsorship

McAuliffe has been named main club sponsor of Greater Manchester-based Bowdon Hockey Club, signing up to support its teams for five seasons.

The community sports club, founded in 1887, runs over 20 men’s, women’s, and children’s hockey teams. This includes national Ladies’ and Men’s 1^st teams, as well as teams for over 40s and 50s, and an over-subscribed juniors’ section.

As part of its five-year sponsorship, McAuliffe has helped fund the creation of a new sustainable hockey kit, made entirely out of recycled plastic bottles. The new shirt was revealed by our Group Managing Director, John McAuliffe, at an event held to officially launch the sponsorship.

John said:

“We’ve supported Bowdon Hockey Club for years now, after seeing the fantastic opportunities it provides for people in the local community.

The club has been incredibly successful in both local and national leagues, and, despite the pandemic, has stayed in high demand. It’s a pleasure to help them continue to go from strength to strength.”
