McAuliffe has partnered with Canadian firm, McMillan-McGee Corporation, to bring its patented thermal remediation technology to UK sites.

McAuliffe brings patented thermal remediation technology to the UK

Founded in 1991, McMillan-McGee is one of the world’s leading thermal remediation specialists, having completed over 120 complex remediation projects globally.

Through the partnership, McAuliffe now has exclusive distribution rights to McMillan-McGee’s Electro-Thermal Dynamic Stripping Process (ET-DSP™) technology. ET-DSP™ speeds up remediation through convective heat transfer, which involves the controlled injection of water into the ends of electrodes, where the electrical field has the highest density.

McAuliffe’s European remediation partner, Geostream Group, is already using the technology successfully on complex thermal remediation projects in Italy and Sweden.

John McAuliffe, group managing director at McAuliffe Group, said: “As well as providing the best thermal remediation equipment available, McMillan-McGee shares our commitment to investing in the research and development of remediation technologies.

“Through this agreement, we’ve made our in-house remediation service even stronger, and can offer clients a complete range of chemical and biological, process, physical and thermal technologies.”

Brent Winder, Vice President at McMillan-McGee, added: “We are incredibly excited to be working with McAuliffe Group to bring the world’s best remediation technologies to the UK.”
