McAuliffe golf days raise £24,000 for good causes

07 Jul 2026

McAuliffe has held two summer golf days to raise money for charitable and community causes.

In the Midlands, golfers raised £19,000 for the NSPCC at McAuliffe’s long-running sporting event held at Edgbaston Golf Club.

Eighteen teams completed the 18-hole course and took on challenges including ‘Nearest the Pin’ and ‘Beat the Pro’ – with Simon Leahy from Ultimate Golf again supporting us for free – before finishing off with dinner, a prize draw, and an auction.

Special mention to specialist mineworkings contractor, M&J Drilling, who sponsored the event.

Meanwhile, in the North West, McAuliffe’s inaugural golf day for Bowdon Hockey Club raised £5,000 for the youth sports team.

The event was kindly sponsored by Scottsdale Golf and held at new facilities at Fairmont Chesire, The Mere.

A huge thank you to all the clients, suppliers and friends who helped make the golf days a success.
