The much anticipated Version 2 Definition of Waste: Development Code of Practice has now been released.

What is the Code of Practice (CoP) and how can it be used?


The CoP is a protocol approved by the Environment Agency for use when you may need to do the following:

  1. Remove surplus material from your development
  2. Deal with contaminated soils
  3. Carry out a cut and fill operation
  4. Import soils or top soil
