Contaminated Land Capital Grants Deadline Looming
Local Authorities in England have up to 27th May 2011 to apply for funding from the Contaminated Land Capital Grants Programme for site investigations and remediation works.
The programme, run by the Environment Agency, is intended to help local authorities cover the capital cost of implementing the contaminated land regime under Part 2A of the environmental protection act 1990.
Guidance suggests that priority will be given to remediation works within this financial year.
McAuliffe are currently in the process of assisting with a number of such applications and would welcome enquiries from any local authorities requiring additional input.
