Fuel efficiency & safety training for McAuliffe operatives
McAuliffe’s directly employed workforce receives regular training to ensure we maintain our high standards of Health & Safety. During a recent training day at our company headquarters, operatives were put through their paces in which various qualifications were refreshed and updated, including safe use of excavator quick hitch and traffic awareness / banksman training.
The highlight of the event included a practical demonstration from Komatsu experts on operating the 
machines in a more fuel efficient way providing potential savings for both Clients and McAuliffe.
McAuliffe is keen to build upon this advice and have instigated a monitoring programme for fuel usage of individual machines using real time data transferred by GPS link to our Head Office.
This will be incorporated into their environmental management system to monitor, target and improve fuel efficiency across the business in the face of rising fuel costs. This data is also being collated and issued to Clients as part of their corporate responsibility obligations and project specific requirements.
