Work Begins at Kingsway
McAuliffe has been appointed to carry out remedial works at the Kingsway Business Park, Rochdale fending off strong competition from its North West Competitors.
Acting as principal contractor, McAuliffe will initially conduct additional site investigation works to prepare a remediation strategy to be approved by the client and regulatory bodies.
A Materials Management Plan and Site Waste Management Plan has been prepared to support the re-use of Made Ground and natural soils across the site to minimise the requirement of aggregate providing cost efficiency to the client.
The site poses a number of complex challenges with McAuliffe being required to reduce the ground gas to acceptable levels whilst also dealing with significant levels of peat which could lead to settlement in some areas of the site.
Works are currently underway with the overall project and due to last around 16 weeks.
