McAuliffe secures a Business Solutions Voucher

Wolverhampton based McAuliffe Group, has become the first company to receive funding of £5,000 through a new voucher scheme delivered by the University of Wolverhampton.

The Business Solutions Voucher scheme aims to support the economic regeneration of Wolverhampton by encouraging innovation in local businesses.

Environmental contractor, the McAuliffe Group, based in Northcott Road, Wolverhampton, is the first company to have been recognised having received £5,000 from the scheme.

A Business Solutions Voucher can be redeemed against the cost of practical, expertise and access to specialiast equipment or services provided by the University of Wolverhampton in relation to specific innovation related projects.

McAuliffe will use the voucher to evaluate its current business processess and procedures realting to Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management.  This will form the first stage of providing practical and relevant processes for the demolition, environmental and contaminated land sectors McAuliffe operate in and will propel the company through its process of achieving: 

  • ISO9001
  • ISO14001 and
  • OHSAS18001 industry accreditations

The voucher will also be used to scope out the possibility of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University in environmental management.  This involves a highly skilled graduate working on a specific project with ongoing support and input from the University.
