McAuliffe secures back to back contracts with Top Midlands House Builder
Redrow Homes, one of the country's leading residential developers, has kick started the house building sector in the West Midlands, rekindling its well established relationship with McAuliffe.
Brownfield Specialist McAuliffe, has been awarded back to back deals to remediate sites in Stafford and Bilston with works totalling over £500,000. Both sites will contribute over 300 units of much needed housing in both areas.
The former Sankey Works site in Greenway Road, Bilston has remained derelict for a number of years; however, with the help of McAuliffe, the site will soon be primed and readied for over 150 dwellings of private and social housing, providing welcome investment and regeneration to a much deprived area. Furthermore, the works provide the cornerstone of the much anticipated Bilston Urban Village regeneration scheme.
Steve McAuliffe, director in charge of transport at McAuliffe said, "The location of the new Redrow site is perfect from a geographical perspective.
"It's literally a stone's throw away from our Headquarters. This not only allows us to keep overheads low, but more importantly, it allows a closer control and monitoring of progress to ensure we provide the greatest possible service to Redrow."
Works on the Doxey Road site in Stafford are expected to complete in 11 weeks following demolition and remediation of the former Abrasive Wheels Manufacturing Site.
John McAuliffe, managing director at McAuliffe was pleased with the progress to date saying, "Redrow Homes have long been a key client of ours and we are pleased to be able to continue to strengthen that relationship despite the continuing uncertainty in the housing market.
"The works at both Stafford and Bilston have progressed well with a strong team ethic on both sites overcoming difficult challenges presented by the ground conditions. This has been testament to the hard work of all those involved with the project.
"We look forward to continuing to work closely and Partnering with Redrow on further schemes as the market makes a steady recovery."
