John has more than 20 years' experience in the construction industry in various commercial, site management and executive roles working for both a Main Contractor and a leading Consultant.
A qualified Chartered Surveyor, John was handpicked onto the RICS Environment Working Group following a detailed selection process where he hopes to help shape and influence environmental issues within the Construction Sector. John is also a registered Qualified Person under the CLAIRE Code of Practice and holds an Environmental Permitting Operators Certificate (EPOC).
John has previously managed complex schemes and investment programmes on behalf of BAA, Railtrack and Anglian Water and is now bringing his experience to bear in the remediation of Brownfield land. This has been evidenced in the delivery of comlex projects such as the £3m Cape Hill Brewery project in Birmingham, the £1m Former TRICO works in Dunstable and the 3,000 unit Lawley Village Development in Telford.
Having joined in 2003 as a shareholder and Technical Director, John has been the driving force behind McAuliffe's growth and service delivery and was appointed Managing Director in 2008.
Mike joined the McAuliffe training scheme in 1981 quickly progressing to become an expert operator on a range of plant involved in bulk eartworks, roads and sewers and remediation. Mike then moved into site management delivering complex schemes such as the £1.5m former Iron Oxide Works in Deanshanger, the £1.3m Tame Valley Alloys project, Tamworth and the £1m City Wharf development in Lichfield.
With 30 years' experience, Mike brings to the table a significant wealth of experience and know how to deliver complex projects efficiently and safely. Mike also manages the maintenance and replacement programmes for our significant plant holding.
Steve joined the McAuliffe training scheme in 1983 as a plant operator. In the early 90's, Steve opened a new training facility at our Head Office delivering the new CITB Safety Awareness and Plant Operator scheme.
Following this Steve launched McAuliffe's new landfill facility at Bentley (M6 junction 10) and more recently has focussed on growing our haulage and recycling capabilities across the region.
Steve is now a Company Director and brings a wealth of experience and expertise in soils disposal facilities, together with on-site, practical experience.
He is particularly skilled in waste management operations and the transportation of industry waste, currently holding a WAMITAB certificate of technical competence.

Anna-Maria joined McAuliffe in 1998, after completing a BSc Business Economics, at Brunel University.
Her role is to manage the full back of house functions encompassing Finance, HR, Training and Administration providing the key link between site activity and the office.
Anna-Maria is the Chair Person of the Metro Business Partnership (MBP Ltd), a local business forum that provides advice and guidance to leading Council officials, including Shadow Business Minister Pat McFadden MP.
Anna also holds a WAMITAB certificate of technical competence that underpins her knowledge in waste management operations.
A Chartered Geologist, Geotechnical Engineer and CL:AIRE Waste Code of Practice Qualified Person with over twenty five years experience working for a number of leading consultancy and remediation companies in the UK and overseas.
Prior to working in the GeoEnvironmental sector, Adam worked as a technician in a petrophysics department and as a gold mine Geologist in South Africa.
Adam has specific experience in the investigation, assessment and remediation of many brownfield and contaminated sites, and is currently advising clients on potential housing and commercial developments where environmental and geotechnical constraints present significant hurdles.
Adam's core specialities are working closely with clients providing bespoke land pre-acquisition audits, innovative remediation methodologies and geotechnical solutions.
Having joined McAuliffe in 2011, Adam will be instrumental in expanding McAuliffe's range of innovative on-site soil and groundwater treatment solutions to enable our Clients to successfully develop existing and future land opportunities.
Tim has 19 years’ experience in the construction industry occupying various roles throughout his career.
He has worked for numerous Civil Engineering Contractors and has experience in complex demolition and reclamation works, roads and sewers projects and remediation works.
Tim has previously worked on a number of different projects, probably the most complex being the Millennium Point Scheme, in Bristol.
After joining McAuliffe as a Senior Project Manager, his most notable projects to date are the delivery of the £2m A500 link road in Wolstanton, Stoke on Trent, delivery of the £1m Phase 1 & 2 Earthworks on the Lawley Village Development and the former Gasworks at Fenny Stratford.
Tim was appointed to Technical Manager in 2009 with responsibility for estimating, contract management and client liaison.
A qualified environmental professional, with over twenty years experience in the contaminated land industry, having worked in both consultancy and contracting. Richard has a BSc in Environmental Science and also holds the highest level WAMITAB to allow management of hazardous sites.
Richard has a wealth of experience in the remediation of contaminated sites including chemical works, transport depots and numerous former gasworks sites as part of the National Grid Property Holdings Framework Contract managing projects ranging in value from £60k to £10m. Richard was also heavily involved in the successful tender and set up stages of the remediation of the northern half of the 2012 Olympic Park site.
More recently Richard held a senior executive position in the process engineering sector of soil and groundwater remediation and has an excellent working knowledge of the application of various in-situ technologies including High Vacuum Extraction, Soil Vapour Extraction, Multi-Phase Extraction, Pump & Treat and Free Product Recovery.
In addition to strengthening our in house remediation contracting expertise Richard will launch and manage our new venture with Geostream for the supply and rental of specialist bespoke equipment for the in situ treatment of soil and groundwater to consultants and contractors.
